Hardy Party

This past weekend we went the Hardy Family Reunion on Kolob Mountain. We have not been to this reunion in YEARS!!! I'm not sure why but it seems like we always have something else planned during this reunion. Last year we were in Alaska and the year before that we were in Disneyland. Anyways, I am glad we decided to go this year. It was actually pretty fun.

The drive up was not so fun because of the rain, lighting, and cars crashing into light poles right in front of us. Aaron drove the motor home and the girls and I drove in my van. It started to rain on us in St. George and the girls were scared and worried about Aaron behind us in the motor home. Heading into LaVerkin a car coming towards us lost control and slammed into a light pole right in front of us! I totally panicked and didn't know if I could just call 911 from my cell phone. DUH!!!! I know. Anyways I called Aaron to let him know we were stopping to help so we ended up waiting at the scene so I could fill out a police report. The lady in the car seemed to be okay. I couldn't believe how fast the emergency vehicles were on the scene. Good thing too because it was pouring down rain!!!

It was really nice to be out of Vegas for the weekend. The kids enjoyed themselves too. Here is Alyson after Eric painted her face like Gene Simmons from Kiss: On Saturday some of the guys took the kids down to the reservoir to do some fishing. They towed Aaron's boat down there with Adam's Ranger. Anyways, a storm moved in REALLY fast and they were caught in a hail storm (hope that's how you spell it).
Eric (Diana's husband) drove 10 screaming kids all the way back to camp. My kids ran straight for the motor home but I couldn't resist snapping a picture before letting them change. Good memories!!!!

We left the motor home at the cabin in Kolob because we are going back in 2 weeks just to hang out. I love being married into this huge and crazy family!!!!

That pic after the hail is priceless. I'm always afraid that I'll come up on an accident between here and Vegas. I'm surprised I've never seen one as often as they happen.

How scary about the accident! It sounds like you had alot of fun at your family reunion though.
