Fishing...again???

So Aaron decided to go fishing today with his friend Mike AGAIN!!!! I can't get into his excitement for fishing. I like to go fishing once in a while but seriously he would go EVERYDAY if he could. I've seen him checking out the BassPro Tournaments online. Luckily, I don't think they have BIG tournaments like that at Lake Mead. However, those pro fisherman make some serious bank. My DVR is filled with different fishing shows and he even has the girls watching them!

So, the girls and I will be heading to soccer practice for a few hours and then we may catch a movie. I've been thinking about taking them to see Horton Hears a Who. Alyson spent the night at her friends house last night so I will be picking her up on the way to soccer. Man, I hope they didn't stay up all night. That is one thing I dislike about sleepovers. I hate how grouchy they come home the next day.

We went to dinner with our friends Mike and Becca and Becca's parents last night. We went to Joe's Crab Shack so the kids could play outside and we could visit and catch up. It's been WAY, WAY too long since we last seen them. They are such good friends and I love spending time with them. We were at Joe's for about 3 hours and we were still chatting in the parking lot. Good times are had when we hang out with them!

The girls had field day yesterday so Alivia and I hung out at school through field day and lunch. Alivia was having fun with the girls so I hung out with the PTA group while she sat at the lunch tables with the girls and even went to recess with them. She cried when we finally left but was asleep before we even got home. I got a peek at the yearbook and I can't believe they have a picture of Alivia in it. Does that mean I spend too much time there? Not really, they just all know and love her there!

Who needs boys....

Not us!!!!

We went camping over the weekend with Aaron's family. We did some Easter egg hunting, riding ATV's, air soft gun fights, and relaxing. I love getting out of town and hanging out around the campfire. I did not do much camping as a kid and I am so grateful that my kids will have TONS of camping memories.

I am working on a online photo book of our trip. I will post it when I am finished. Hope everybody had a Happy Easter!

Doodlebops

I'm not sure why I didn't blog about this before but a few weeks ago I was lucky enough to take Alivia to see the Doodlebops. My cousin had bought them to take her nephew and neice but was unable to go so I got to go with my SIL Annette and her daughter Adrianna.
The girls had fun and the seats were not bad!!! I thought it would be something fun to do with just me and Alivia. I try and make a point to spend "quality" time with each of my kids alone. It seems it's easier with the older girls to find stuff to do so this show was perfect!

The funny thing is that I had to make a point of turning on the Doodlebops a few times a couple days before so that Alivia would know who they were. She loves them now and kept saying the entire show "Mo is awesome." She tells me she misses them. Too funny! The things we do (and sit through) for our children......

Thanks Samantha for the tickets!!!!

Good times...

It's so funny that I always look forward to having some time by myself and then while I am by myself I miss my family.

Aaron took the girls Friday night to meet some friends at Valley of Fire to do some camping. It ended up being a short trip for them but they had a blast! I planned on going until I found out Anya, Jamie, and Erin were all staying home. So it ended up being kind of a dad and kid campout.

It's probably better anyways because I'm sure they have more fun when us "grouchy" moms are not there. It's hard to see but our kids are up there! Even Abby!!!!!

Aaron took his fishing boat with him so they also fit in a little fishing at Lake Mead. Not for very long though becasue Alivia lost her fishing pole in the lake so she decided to take a nap. She was pretty sad about it. She kept telling me the fish ate her fishing pole.

They had fun camping and fishing and I hope the girls know how lucky they are to have a daddy that is so fun to hang out with!

Not even sure if anybody is reading my blog because the lack of comments! Oh well, I think it is a great way to journal and I plan on printing the pages and putting them into a notebook.

9 going on 13...

Well, Alyson is only 1 year away for being a double digit age. She informed me of that yesterday!

Sunday was Alyson's 9th birthday so on Saturday we went to Justice for Girls for some makeovers. Alyson had her very best friend, Sydney, stay the night on Friday night and then Saturday morning we went to Justice and then to lunch.

It was a blast for her and I can't believe how fast she is growing up.
